Together for better digital treatment - training in Helse Midt-Norge

Training in using the Youwell platform at Nidaros DPS was held in late August, and we travelled from rainy Bergen to bright sunshine in Trondheim. Together with clinicians from Helse Midt-Norge, we laid the groundwork for the further rollout of digital treatment programmes in the region.

Hands-on learning and professional community

Through four sessions of introduction, discussion, and hands-on tasks, participants got to test the solution in practice. The training wasn't just a walkthrough of features, but an arena for genuine exploration and reflection - it became "learning by doing", and it worked. "Intuitive", "user-friendly", and "easy to use" were some of the comments we received along the way.

It really made an impression how good the atmosphere in the room was, and how eager people were to adopt new tools.

An important step for Helse Nord-Trøndelag

The rollout of eBehandling in Helse Midt-Norge marks an important milestone for the region. Initially, this applies to Helse Nord-Trøndelag, where clinicians will now adopt digital programmes for mental illness and substance use issues through the Youwell platform.

Why eBehandling?

Mental illness and substance use disorders are widespread in the population, but many never get the help they need. According to the Norwegian Institute of Public Health, therapist-guided internet-based treatment can provide better effect and quality of life than no treatment, with an effect comparable to traditional face-to-face treatment - and often cheaper once you factor in travel and time off work.
