NTNU, through the research centre NorHead, has entered into an agreement with Youwell AS and subcontractor KBB Medic to further develop the Headache Diary into a research tool for the NorHead Research Registry.
The Headache Diary is one of Norway's most popular health apps, with a substantial existing user base. Through the collaboration, app users will be able to consent to sharing their data with NorHead's research database, as well as take part in specific research projects on headache and migraine.
The Youwell platform is already in use at every health trust in Norway and at major research centres. Through this collaboration, the platform's role expands to also support one of the country's largest and most widely used health apps as research infrastructure.
