Youwell AS and Noklus (Norwegian Quality Improvement of Laboratory Examinations) have entered into a partnership to develop a self-registration tool, aiming to improve communication between patient and clinician in the training programme for self-management of anticoagulation therapy.
Background and need
The National Health and Hospital Plan emphasises the importance of harnessing technological opportunities to create a sustainable health service. Norwegian studies have shown that self-management of anticoagulation therapy improves treatment quality and increases patients' quality of life compared with conventional treatment.
Introducing a secure and user-friendly logging tool is essential for safe communication between patient and clinician.

The collaboration with Noklus
Youwell AS and Noklus have entered a partnership to develop an advanced logging tool for reporting self-measurements and dosages. The tool is integrated into the Youwell platform and offers a wide range of features, including messaging, video consultations, questionnaires, module-based courses, and quizzes.
Patients will be able to set targets for their desired INR level, log changes in medication, and add comments. All entries are displayed in graph and table format. The system also includes functionality for setting threshold values and flagging, with automatic notifications to the clinician when needed.
This partnership represents a major step forward for patients taking part in the self-management programme for anticoagulation therapy. By giving patients a clear overview of their entries and a better understanding of their health, we can reduce the risk of complications and ensure more precise, tailored medication.
